i got my brother into it and that is what he is getting. i wanted this one cause i want something that is for fun not just extreme crawler courses. i have a creek and mountain behind my house so i figured this would be best for me.

  2. Mina says:

@cody692292 yeah, and i made a mistake.. the SCX10 build was only about $1350. Forgive me.. i actually have several trucks and mixed this up with my XR10

  3. Ronna says:

okay thanks. been looking around would it be cheaper to buy the truck ready to run then change a few parts and water proof it

  4. Cassaundra says:

hey medic about how much would it cost to buy and build the scx10 just like the one in the video minus the 2.2s i want to stic with stock tire size?

  5. Julissa says:

@jsk850 You can bro..If you are using an FXR system – but you need to be running a 35t motor. nothing less than 35t. ie: 27 etc… Depends on what your plug is bro.. i usually use a ultra Deans connector. :-) hope that helps

  6. Tanja says:

hey medic awsome vids i really love all your series…i have a question about max amps can i run a 1800 3s lipo with the tekin setup and also what plug would i get? thanks for the great vids keep it up

  7. Lexie says:

@BoomVision Yeah.. they had a hosting issue. I believe it will be resolved by December 2010.

  8. Alton says:

all your video’s say to hit eastridgehobbies.ca but when I try that it doesn’t work, did they discontinue their website?! Thanks for the info :)

  9. Renay says:

@bada55mofo Here ya go my friend.. straight from the Tekin website:

“Input Voltage: 4-9 Cells, 2S Lipo (3S Lipo with 35T or higher motor) ” Cool hey? The motors I used in this build were 35t’s. Did ya find that helpful? Hope so.. enjoy and have a good trail run :-)

  10. Emely says:

Hey Medic, I just got done building my SCX-10. It looks a lot like yours because you inspired it lol. However, I was wondering if the FX-R can handle 3s or not, it says only 2s in the manual but you seem to have used it and not fried anything. Any help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  11. Twyla says:

Please reply, if you buy the RTR version instead of the kit, would you still be able to customise it like change the motor, servos and shocks like you did?
also i looked at the spektrum recievers and they have a 3 pin “connectors” for the servos and motors, do you have to solder the wires to them or are there certain plugs you can use like dean connectors?

  12. Jeanie says:

how much was the “AXIAL SCX10 HONCHO” kit?

  13. Daisy says:

I usually get 400 dollars for Christmas and a lot more for allowance so what would you suggest? the trail honcho, or the kit?

  14. Queenie says:

in total wat did everything cost together

  15. Madonna says:

DJmedic, thanks for the info. I understand when it comes to parts there are performance parts and entry level parts. Im might just do the RTR and take the mods from there. nice background music btw on the other vids 😀

  16. Pattie says:

djmedic, thanks for the info. yeah i saw the RTR version. im just getting some info abour prices of the parts. I know for sure there are lots of different parts with diff qualities right? we’ll see how it goes and post something when i get my rig. thanks a bunch

  17. Lauryn says:

@whiteblitz hey bro.. to be truthful- I go crazy with my builds in the tutorials. i normally try to get the “best of the best” just to make a good series. And subsequently – it makes it very costly. This build was a total of $1350 CAD. BUT one can get into a truck like this for much less. in fact you can get an RTR version for about $400.00

  18. Ying says:

Djmedic, very nice vids you made! the rest of the videos are really interesting. I wanna build one pretty soon. on the top of your head all in all how much should one invest on the whole kit? i.e. including all the parts and electronics? thanks for any info

  19. Tonja says:

why did you choose to upgrade the suspension? are the stock shocks not very good, or was it to get more articulation?

I’m planning an axial build myself, probably leaving it with 1.9 tires, but I want to do some upgrades somewhere…..make it my truck. Thanks

  20. Johnathan says:

is it possable to put a gas powered engine on the honcho and do u know where i can find a older chevy body from the years 89-97??
