I want to make a 1/8 scale rc truck and am trying to find chassis but its really hard to find any. preferably aluminum and also its probably going to be a twin motor truck so it needs to be pretty big. Thanks!

  1. Tracie says:

The Associated MGT has one of the toughest chassis I know of, although because of the way the engine transfers the drive to the transmission you will only get one engine on the chassis.
You could try the Losi LST or the Losi LST2, but seriously, if you can get either of those chassis you should build up the original truck out of it.
A twin engine truck might look and sound good, but they are a pain in the @ss to get right. An Associated MGT 8.0 with an Axial .32RR engine will kick dirt in the face of anything.

Hot Bodies did a TruckZilla conversion for the HPI Savage a few years ago, it came with everything you needed to make it a twin engined Savage. But that means buying an HPI Savage then buying the conversion kit, not a cheap option.
